Riesling with a fine-dry taste profile.
The Ockfener Bockstein, indisputably one of the most valuable Riesling locations in the world, rises up majestically from a narrow tributary valley of the Saar. With its coarse Devonian slate soils and the barren greywacke as a basis, this mountain produces finely spiced Riesling wines which are rich in character and have delighted connoisseurs for centuries with their distinctive mineral flavor and long life.
In the glass this wine is bright gold paired with a delicate green shimmer and the bouquet a somewhat cool, fine minerality with slightly smoky accents. The fine scent has noble floral notes paired with full-bodied yeast and passion fruit. On the palate, a balanced character with a distinct sweetness, contrasting with a lively acidity, giving this wine a good longevity.
