Riesling from the steep slopes of Wiltinger Braunfels area with a dry taste profile.
Grown on Devonian gray slate soils with high proportions of rhyolite or quartz porphyry volcanic rock.
With this wine it is easy to imagine you are biting into the dark brown slate of this region. Firstly a subtle scent of smoky mineral and white pepper reminiscent of slate. After a few minutes in a large glass, this wine shaped from the land develops noble earthy aromas with the finest nuances of blueberry, juniper and sloe. The Braunfels Riesling, with its aromatic, iodine minerality is one of our best food companions. A noble wine in a noble guise!
