Riesling with a fine dry taste profile.

The Ockfener Bockstein, undisputedly one of the most valuable Riesling vineyards in the world, rises majestically in one narrow side valley of the Saar. The crowning glory of this hillside is the minerality of the barren sandstone soil and skeleton-rich Devon slate floors. The delicately spicy Riesling produced here has excited connoisseurs for centuries.

Expertise

In the glass this wine is bright gold paired with a delicate green shimmer and the bouquet a somewhat cool, fine minerality with slightly smoky accents. The fine scent has noble floral notes paired with full-bodied yeast and passion fruit. On the palate, a balanced character with a distinct sweetness, contrasting with a lively acidity, giving this wine a good longevity.

Reviews

90/100

Light green-yellow. Intense, inviting bouquet, characterized by citrus fruits, spices and a mineral note... The wine is slightly sparkling, inviting and a classic. It has a strong character, with fresh zesty tones and a fruity aftertaste. Drinkable until 2026.
